If you wish, you can receive e-mail notices when there are new posts in the forum.  To receive them for individual topics, look at the top of the topic and check the box next to "Email me when someone replies to this thread".  To receive notices for all new posts to the NY forum, while viewing the NY forum, at the top check the box next to "Email me when someone posts to this forum".
