About the Mission:

The family of Vietnam Veteran Ronald E. Saxton has requested Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Saxton passed on 3 August 2025 at the age of 79.

Mr. Saxton entered the Army on 22 July 1966, was trained as a Field Wireman (MOS-36K20) and served for 21 months of active duty, with a 12 month tour of duty in Vietnam with the 3rd Battalion, 13th Field Artillery. He was honorably discharged on 30 April 1968 at US Army Personnel Center, Oakland, California. For his service he was awarded; Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/ 4 Bronze Service Stars and a Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/ Palm.

Mr. Saxton was a volunteer for Ashville, NY Fire Department, retiring after 50 years of service.

Special Information:

Members will stand flag line for arriving family and friends. After prayer service, PGR will escort Mr. Saxton to Maple Grove Cemetery for military honors and interment. Thank you for supporting our veterans and their loving families.
