About the Mission:

The Saratoga National Cemetery Wreaths Across America Event Team has requested Patriot Guard Riders' support for the removal of over 16,000 Holiday Wreaths that were placed during December of 2025. PGR members will meet as we have in the past, at Section 7, to complete wreath removal there. Once complete, members may move to other sections to assist volunteers as needed. It is suggested that you bring a broomstick or other type of pole to allow carrying of multiple wreaths.

You are asked to please observe all parking instructions so as not to cause any restriction of traffic on the roadway.

Special Information:

UPDATED

The Wreaths Across America volunteer pickup is still scheduled for Saturday January 24, 2026, at 9:00 am. We are expecting very cold temperatures so, please dress accordingly.

This year we have decided to have all volunteers work together section by section. We will begin wreath pickup in section #1 and move through the cemetery section by section. This allows our staff to keep equipment for loading wreaths together and to minimize the need to move wreaths to the curbline. Four large dumpsters are prepositioned throughout the cemetery. Work smarter not harder and more hands make for easy work!

Park your cars close to the section we are working in and move them as needed by section. Please use your cars as warming stations as we move throughout the cemetery.

As always please be safe and thank you again for being such wonderful volunteers! We couldn’t do this without you!

Cemetery Director
