About the Mission:

This veteran served honorably from November 1965 to November 1967, including a tour in Vietnam. He was trained as a combat infantryman, and attained the rank of SP4, being awarded; Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device and an Overseas Bar.

Following his military service, he became a NY City Police Officer, serving as a helicopter pilot and retiring after 22 years of service.
