About the Mission:
The family of James M. "Doc" Moscato has invited Patriot Guard Riders to celebrate his life and honor his military service at calling hours and funeral services. James passed away 20 June 2025 at the age of 77.
Doc served in the US Army as a Private Second Class, MOS 91B2P - Medical Specialist. He served two years active duty between 1967 and 1970, including twelve months of service in Vietnam with the 326th Airborne Medical Company, part of 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles). He was honorably discharged on 14 August 1970 and completed his reserve obligation on 7 March 1973.
Doc earned: US Army Commendation Medal w/ "V" device (Valor), National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/1960 Device, Combat Infantry Badge, and Parachutist Badge.
Doc was also a PGR Member in NY, Region 2. He left NY in 2016 and continued his service in PGR FL, American Legion Riders #318, and Elks #2658, based in Port St. Lucie, FL. Doc's online obituary is found at this link: Click here to view

Special Information:
PGR Members will stage at 5:30 pm and form a flag line for the final hour of calling hours, which are scheduled to end at 7:00 pm. We will likely do a final salute inside, towards the end of calling hours.
Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, and dress for the weather. Please bring your own water and stay sufficiently hydrated. Thank you for devoting your time to help honor the US Army service of James M. "Doc" Moscato, and to support his loving family.

Second Stage - Special Information:
At 9:15am; PGR Members will form a flag line at the church for the arrival of the family, expected at 9:30am. We will hold the flag line until the start of services, expected at 10:00am. Following services, PGR Members will perform a dignified transfer and then escort the cortege to Holy Sepulcher for the entombment services.
Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, and dress for the weather. Please bring your own water and stay sufficiently hydrated. Third Stage - Special Information:
At 11:45 am; please form a flag line for the arriving cortege at the main entrance to the All Saints Mausoleum (East side). The cortege is expected to enter the Lake Avenue gate at 11:45 am and then make its way to the mausoleum. PGR Members will perform a dignified transfer and participate in rendering honors with the military honor guard. We will do a final salute as a group following services and perform a dignified transfer to Doc's mausoleum niche.
