About the Mission:
The family of Vietnam Veteran Martin Joseph Madden has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Martin passed 16 April 2025 at the age of 76 in the Bath VA Medical Center.
Martin entered the Army on 6 February 1968 as a Personnel Specialist (MOS-71H20). He served his nation for 19 months active duty with 12 months in Vietnam with the 4th Administration Company, 44th Infantry Division. Martin was honorably discharged 11 September 1969 as Specialist E-5 at U.S Army Personnel Center, Oakland California. For his service Martin was awarded; Army commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device.
After his military service Martin worked and retired at Alfred University in the maintenance department.

Members will stand a flag line for a dignified transfer. Be prepared for the 45 mile escort to Bath National Cemetery. There is no service at the funeral home. Bring water if needed. We are not going to be taking the interstate. Parking is at main flag pole with honors scheduled for 11:00 am.
