About the Mission:
The family of Scott J. Strickland has asked PGR Members to participate in honoring his time in the military and celebrating his life during funeral services. Mr. Strickland passed 2 August 2025 at the age of 74.
Mr. Strickland served in the US Navy as a Flight Engineer (Specialty AE-8251) and achieved the rank of Petty Officer First Class (PO1, E-6). Mr. Strickland served a total of nine years active duty from 1969-1978. During that time Scott served five years, two months foreign and sea service, based at Naval Air Station Rota, Spain. He was honorably discharged 14 June 1978.
For his service, Petty Officer Strickland earned: Navy Good Conduct Medal w/ 1 bronze star (2 awards), and the National Defense Service Medal.

Special Information:
About 10:15 am, PGR Members will form a flag line at the cemetery entrance in anticipation of the arrival of Mr. Strickland's cremains. We will hold the flag line until approximately 10:40 am in anticipation of the family arriving at the cemetery. 10:45 am, PGR Members will escort the family to the gravesite for services. PGR Members will perform a dignified transfer at the gravesite and render honors with the military honor guard during services which are scheduled for 11:00 am.
Please come prepared with a clean US or Navy flag, and ensure bike flags are firmly attached. Dress for the weather, the current forecast calls for partly cloudy and temperature in the mid-eighties, and bring your own water.
