About the Mission:

The family of Purple Heart recipient Thomas J. Knezevic has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Knezevic passed 16 May 2025 surrounded by his family.

Mr. Knezevic entered the Army on 14 February 1969 and trained as a Light Weapons Infantryman (11B10). After his basic training, was assigned to the 6th Infantry Regiment, 198th Infantry Brigade in Vietnam at Base LZ Bayonet, near Chu Lai. He was honorably discharged at Valley Forge General Hospital, Phoenixville,  PA on 28 January 1971. For his service to his nation Mr. Knezevic was awarded; Purple Heart Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, Expert Rifleman Badge w/ Rifle Bar.

After Mr. Knezevic military service, he worked and retired from Ford Stamping Plant, South Buffalo.

Special Information:

Members will a stand flag line for arriving family and guests. After Mass of Christian Burial, military honors will be conducted at the church. After a dignified transfer, members will process to Lakeside Cemetery for interment and final salute. Thank you for standing for Thomas Knezevic and his loving family.
