About the Mission:

The family of Vietnam War Veteran Wilson G. Alvarado has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Alvarado passed tragically while in Florida on 26 March 2025.

Mr. Alvarado was born in Villalba, Puerto Rico on 19 April 1944.  He entered the US Army 9 January 1964 as a Communication Maintainer (MOS-31V40), serving his nation with 34 months on active duty, including a 15 months tour of duty in Vietnam. Mr. Alvarado was honorably discharged at Army Personnel Center, Oakland California on 7 November 1966. For his service he was awarded; Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device. 

After Mr. Alvarado's military service, he served as a Corrections Officer for the State of NY, retiring after 20 years of service.
