About the Mission:
The family of James H. Nash has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. James, 69, of Hudson Falls, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Fort Hudson Nursing Center in Fort Edward.
Jim grew up in Kingsbury and Hudson Falls, NY. Following high school graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy on 30 December 1974. He served for 2 years and 4 months on active duty until his discharge at the rank of Seaman Apprentice on 24 July 1976. His time included 15 months of sea duty aboard the USS Independence (CV-62), a Forrestal-class aircraft carrier. He completed his inactive reserve obligation on 24 March 1982.
Following his military discharge, Jim moved to Dallas Texas where he worked at the Sheraton Hotel in the engineering department for 10 years. After returning to upstate New York in 1998, he worked in appliance repair and then for On Call Plumbing and Heating out of Saratoga Springs for several years.
