About the Mission:

The family of Michael J Mancino, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Michael, 75 passed on August 7, 2025, at his home.

Born November 5, 1949 in Goshen, NY, Michael graduated from Monroe-Woodbury High School in 1968.  He was inducted into the US Army on 7 May 1969 and was trained as a Military Policeman (MOS 95B20).  He served on active duty for 1 year and 6 months, including a 13 month tour of duty in Vietnam, assigned to the 101st Airborne Division from October 1969 until November 1970. For 11 months, he was an M60 machine gunner/radio operator on a V100 armored vehicle which was the lead vehicle for daily supply convoys to the outer firebases. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant (E-5), and for his service, was awarded; an Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/1960 Device, Marksman Badge - Rifle (M-16) and 2 Overseas Bars.

After his military service, Michael worked for Mancino Trucking Co., Inc. for 3 years as a truck driver.  After earning several degrees, Michael spent 36 years in Broadcast Television as an Independent Producer/Director/Photographer and owner of ComPro Productions.  His last job was with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as a live satellite broadcast producer/director, video production professional along with video/photo documentation of natural disasters throughout the United States.

We will stand a flag line for calling hours, then a break for prayer service at 12:30.  Following the services, we will prepare to escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 2:30 burial.
