About the Mission:

This veteran honorably served his country from October 1958 to October 1962. His primary duty station was in the US Submarine Service aboard the USS Chivo ,SS341, a Balao-class submarine. He attained the rank of YN3 before seperation from service. He then worked as a dispatcher for several moving companies and then became a relocation estimator for A&P Moving Company.

He was a commander of Brentwood American Legion Joseph Lockwood post. He was the Suffolk County Commander American Legion for 1 year and Suffolk County American Legion Chaplain for 22 years. He was also involved in the American Legion Missing in America Project. The family has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor him.

Special Information:

Meet RC Mike at front gate. The procession should arrive about 11:20am. There should be American Legion Riders escorting the hearse from Ruland Funeral Home.
