About the Mission:

This 5K run is in honor of T/Sgt Dashan Briggs, along with six other crew members, that were killed on March 15, 2018 when their HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter crashed during a mission in Western Iraq. They were from the 106Th Rescue Squadron, right here in Westhampton, New York. This mission consists of a flag line for beginning ceremonies for the race, and then a flag line for a Memorial Day ceremony honoring all the fallen warriors of this great nation.

Special Information:

Bring your flags for the flag line. Enter the Grumman property off Route 25 and on your left will be the entrance to the runway where 5K is held. As you enter the first concrete roadway you come to on your right is the taxiway for the runway. Make the right turn and continue to the first entrance to the runway on your left. This is to avoid the main parking lot which will be crowded and puts parking at the ceremonial area.

Note:  Make sure you are on site by 8am. A fun run/walk will start between 08:20 and 08:30 which will close our entryway to runway.
