About the Mission:

On Saturday, May 24, volunteers will be needed to place 27,000 flags on the headstones and also needed on Saturday, May 31, to recover the flags. There will be an Honor Guard provided by the US Naval Sea Cadets-Empire Division. PGR members are welcome to stand a flag line alongside the honor guard and participate in the placement and recovery of the flags. Over 15 groups have registered to support this mission.

Special Information:

Saturday-May 24 8:30am is the official start. (rain or shine)
Official Observance speech: 8:30 SHARP
(Even if you arrive early to place flags, all present will be asked to stop and muster at the office parking lot, where I will officially start the Memorial Day Flag Observance speech/prayer) . We will have an Honor Guard provided by US Naval Sea Cadets-Empire Division.

Second Stage - Special Information:

This is the flag recovery day. Volunteers will recover the flags and place them in the special blue bins provided by the staff. This is a rain/shine event and ALL HANDS ON DECK request.
