About the Mission:
This veteran honorably served his country form September 1967 to September 1969 attached to Company "A", 1st Batallion, 26th Marines, 9th Marine Amphibious Brigade. He served in Vietnam participating in six major operations throughout the country. He attained a rank of Private being awarded Purple Heart, Presidential Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 device, Combat Action Ribbon and Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle).
He became a Suffolk County Deputy Sheriff but left after two years to join a family business, Doroskis' Nursery, located in Southold, NY.
The family has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor him for his service.

Meet for arrival of family at 10:30am. After a dignified transfer, escort will proceed to Our Lady of Ostrabama RC Church on Depot Lane, Cutchogue, NY. Escort will pass the site of the nursery on route to the church for 11:30am mass. After mass, escort will respond to Calverton National Cemetery.
