About the Mission:

The family of Marvin H.. Hankinson, Sr. has invited Patriot Guard Riders to participate in honoring his service to America and to celebrate his life. Mr. Hankinson passed on 20 November 2025 at the age of 92.

Mr. Hankinson is a US Navy, Korean War Veteran. He achieved the rank of Seaman (SN, E-3), with a rating of Boatswain's Mate. He served in Europe and Korea on the ships: USS Missouri (BB 63), USS Wisconsin (BB 64), and USS Skagit (AKA-105). Seaman Hankinson was awarded: US Navy Good Conduct Medal, US Navy Occupation Medal w/ Europe Clasp, National Defense Service Medal, and Korean Service Medal.

Special Information:

PGR Members will form a flag line at 9:15am in anticipation of the family arriving about 9:30am. We will hold the flag line until services begin at the funeral home, expected at 10:00am. Following services (expected to take 45 minutes), we will perform a dignified transfer from the funeral home to the hearse. At that point, PGR Members will be dismissed.

Second Stage - Special Information:

PGR members will park and stage at Committal Shelter #1. We will form a flag line at Committal Shelter #2 at 12:45pm in anticipation of the arrival of the cortege. We will perform a dignified transfer and participate in services with the military honor guard. Services are expected to begin at 1:00pm. Following services, we will perform a final salute and a dignified transfer from the Committal Shelter.

Please come with clean 3x5 US or US Navy flag; dress for the weather, bring your own water. Thank you for taking time to honor the life and service of US Navy veteran Marvin H. Hankison and to support his loving family.
