About the Mission:
The family of Army Veteran Salvatore A. Tabone has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Tabone passed at the age of 86 on 20 October 2025 surrounded by his family. After graduating from Leroy Central School in 1956, Mr. Tabone attended Alfred State University studying Agricultural and Technical programs. After college he entered the Army on 8 November 1961. Mr. Tabone was sent to Fort Lenard Wood Missouri for Basic Army Training and Heavy Vehicle Operator/Mechanical Training. Mr. Tabone served his nation 35 months active duty including 18 months in Europe. He was honorably discharged on 19 October 1963 at Fort Hamilton, NY with the 150th Transport Company. After his service to his nation, Mr. Tabone was employed at Rochester, NY Kodak, retiring as Communications Specialist.

After dignified transfer PGR will escort Mr. Tabone and his family to Western New York National Cemetery for military honors, interment scheduled for 1pm. Make sure your large flags are secure and dress for the weather. PGR members who are not in escort please stag at WNYNC.
