About the Mission:

The family of William A. "Switch" Aleksivich has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in honoring his service to us all and celebrating his life. Mr. Aleksivich passed 17 November 2025 at the age of 80.

Mr. Aleksivich was a US Army Veteran who rose to the rank of Specialist Four, with an MOS of 91B20 - Medical Specialist. He served two years from 1965-1967 including one year of foreign duty in Vietnam. Specialist Aleksivich was awarded: US Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ 1960 device, Combat Medic Badge and one Overseas Bar.

Special Information:

PGR Members will commence a flag line at the funeral home at 5:15pm. Anticipating the arrival of the family beginning at 5:30pm. We will hold the flag line through calling hours, expected to end at 7:00pm. At approximately 6:50pm, we will perform a final salute in the funeral home. With the final salute complete, the mission will be dismissed. There is no escort or cemetery presence included with this Honor Mission.

Please come with clean 3x5 US or US Army flag; dress for the weather, bring your own water. Thank you for taking time to honor the life and service of US Army veteran William A. "Switch" Aleksivich and to support his loving family.
