About the Mission:

The family of Dennis Michael McCormick has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Dennis, 80, of Altamont, New York, passed away on March 6, 2025, at Eddy Memorial.

Born in Troy, New York on 6 May 1944, Dennis enlisted in the United States Navy on 31 October 1963. He was trained as an Electronics Technician (Radar), and served 3 years and 11 months on active duty, including time aboard the USS Wallace J. Lind (DD-703), an Allen M. Sumner-class destroyer. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class, with a rating of Electronics Technician 2 on 30 December 1967. For his service, he was awarded a National Defense Service Medal.

Dennis was a long-time member of the Greenwich Elks Lodge #2223 and the Greenwich VFW Post 7291, where he formed many lasting friendships.

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for a dignified transfer. KSU approximately 10:00 am for escort to Saratoga National Cemetery, where an 11:00 am interment with military honors is scheduled.
