About the Mission:

The family of Gary E. Gilchrist has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Gary, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at his home.

Gary graduated from Argyle Central School in 1960. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps on 27 September of that year and was trained as a Tracked Vehicle Repairman (Specialty Code 2141).  He served on active duty for 4 years, including 14 months of overseas duty.  He was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal (E-4), and for his service was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal and Expert Qualification Badge - Rifle.

Gary retired from Zak Inc, in Troy, NY.  He was was a member of the American Legion Post 1518 in Argyle and also the VFW Post 7291 in Greenwich.
