About the Mission:
The family of Keith C. Bishop has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Keith, 76, died peacefully at The Pines in Glens Falls on April 24, 2025.
Keith received his draft notice in 1968 and after completing basic training at Fort Dix, NJ, was sent to Fort Lewis, Washington to complete advanced infantry training. He was then deployed to Vietnam and assigned to Company "B", 2nd Batallion, 22nd Infantry Division. While serving in Vietnam Keith was cited for heroism during a firefight and while under attack, his machine gun malfunctioned. With disregard for his own safety, he exposed himself to a hail of fire and secured a new weapon. He was wounded and spent several days in a hospital in Cambodia, healing from his injuries. He was discharged at the rank of PFC (E-3) and for his service, was awarded a Purple Heart Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal and a Vietnam Service Medal.
Keith worked at Northern Distributors for a stint, and then worked at the Glens Falls Cement Company for over 30 years.

We will stand a flag line for the arrival of family and friends. A service will be conducted at 11:00 am. After services and dignified transfer, we will escort to Moss St. Cemetery, Rt. 4, Hudson Falls, NY.
