About the Mission:

The organizers of the Town of Westerlo Hometown Heroes Program have once again requested Patriot Guard Riders presence at the closing ceremonies of their Hometown Heroes event. During the 2025 program, new local Veterans were honored with individual banners throughout the town and will be presented with those banners during the ceremony. This is the 8th year of the Westerlo Hometown Heroes program. In addition, we will be honoring Westerlo's Honorary Hometown Hero, Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy. This year we will be presenting medals to 2 Vietnam Veterans who never received some of the medals they earned.
