We wanted to take time to tell you how grateful we are for everything you and the Patriot Guard did to honor our son and for the respect shown to our fallen soldier. We are still at a loss for words to describe our gratitude to all of you and a simple thank you seems so inadequate. Please know that we are humbled by the personal commitment the Patriot Guard members showed manning the honor guard and for maintaining their vigil for three days, from the airport to the final escort on Friday. We will be eternally in your debt for this and we can’t begin to express our thanks to you for treating our son Derek so well.
